Verse center: John 1:12:But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Write out verse to take home.

Review center: Play the game from lesson 4 but add verse #5.

Visual Aids: On a poster or chalk board print: 1.Peace, 2. Forgiveness, 3. Adoption, 4.Holy Spirit’s Indwelling, 5. New Nature, 6.Justification, & 7.Advocate. Into a small box, put these 7 words on slips of paper. Make a white heart 8x11 as the black one, for the wall with “They shall be as white as snow” Is 1:18 on it.

Aims: The student would be able to quote the underlined part of the verse and 5 of the 7 Gifts of Salvation I.

TEACHING THE LESSON: Have the students read the 7 verses and explain the verses to them. We receive these after we accept Christ as our Savior, gifts given by the Holy Spirit of God.

1. Romans 5:1 Peace with God. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Hebrews 9:22 Forgiveness of sins …without shedding of blood is no remission [forgiveness]. Is 44:22

3. John 1:12,13 Adoption, sons of God; Heb 9:15 … might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

4. John 14:16, Holy Spirit’s Indwelling And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

5. John 3: 6,7 New Nature That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

6. Romans 4:25 Justification: just as if I’d never sinned. Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

7. Hebrews 7:25 Advocate, (Jesus Christ the righteous.) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
