He made a habit of perfecting that slide. The rug remained crumpled in the corner as he sped back down the stairs. Barry was waiting for him on the front porch. "Man, this is going to be a great day!" he said as the screen door slammed behind Carson. "The weather forecast predicts a good day. Let's go before it gets too hot." They were down to the end of the block when Carson remembered that he forgot the house key. Barry leaned on a fire hydrant while he waited for Carson. The boys were more than halfway to the tennis courts when Barry stopped. He moaned, "You are going to hate me. I just remembered that I forgot to drop this envelope at Aunt Celia's house." Carson decided to go on ahead without Barry. It seemed forever until Barry caught up with him. Finally they were there. They saw that a young couple had just taken possession of the last empty court. The courts had a courtesy rule. If someone was waiting for their turn to use the courts, you could only take an hour to play. They assessed the other players. Two teenage girls were just goofing off on one court. The other court was occupied by an elderly couple. And so they waited. They decided that the old couple would probably be done first. Surely they would not last very much longer. And those silly girls - they didn't even know how to play - they shouldn't even be on the court. They waited some more. Carson lay down on the grass. He noticed that the sky was not as clear anymore; some clouds had moved in. Even the wind had picked up a bit. Barry grabbed his arm, "Let's go! The girls are leaving!" Finally they were on the court. However, it was not long until gusts of wind flung dirt in their eyes and the clouds turned dark. The others left the courts quickly. Barry and Carson stayed. Soon it started to rain. Then it poured! "Get that ball in the corner Carson!" yelled Barry as he ran for the one nearest him. "We have to get out of here!" They got soaked. Their plans were ruined. The weatherman had predicted ideal weather, but everything went wrong - nothing turned out as planned. When God makes plans, they are perfect. Nothing goes wrong. There are no surprises or delays. There are over 300 prophecies in the Bible about the Lord Jesus. Every one of them were fulfilled exactly as God had planned. What God says will happen, will happen. You can count on it!
