Sunday School Planning - It's Saturday night - time to prepare for Sunday school class Print E-mail

When do you prepare your lesson for Sunday's class?  If you get ready for class at the very last minute would you admit it?  Thanks to the statistics on web servers, it is possible to see the trend of spikes in web traffic for searches for Sunday school lesson plans, printable activities and crafts.

The following graph shows a two month sample of unique visitors to the page http://www.gospelhall.org/sundayschool - a page devoted to free ideas for Sunday school teachers.  Guess which days are the Saturdays?  You guessed it.  The highest number of visits occurs each Saturday - about 50% more than the other days of the week.

Leaving the planning for the class until the last minute can lead to forgettable performances.  For better planning strategies, see the pages on building lesson units weeks in advance here - http://www.gospelhall.org/teaching--preaching/sunday-school-helper.html

That's not totally fair. Many times I have the ideas in my head during the
week, but I do the actual preparation the day before.

That's me! I always find myself hitting the web on Saturday night looking for
fresh ideas on how to teach a lesson.
