Attention Getter: Story about a boy playing with friends and his mother calls him. "Did you hear?" "Yes, but I don't have to go now." She called repeatably and the boy still didn't go. Then she called again and the boy jumped up, "I gotta go right now!" He knew that he Point 1: Abraham was described as "A Syrian ready to perish" in Deuteronomy 26:5. Point 2: A voice from the unseen world. Point 3: Promises: remind the class of how God speaks today! Point 4: An altar and obedience: Abraham didn't know where he was going, but God knew where He was taking him and all that the future held. The fullness of what God promised is yet to be seen. God keeps His promises. Summary: Tell quickly of one thing God asked you to do and what happened when you did or didn't obey!
