Activity Review game - Bingo cards and 10 plagues dice to review the 10 different events that occured in egypt leading up the the exodus.
Lesson Content Suggestions Point 1: Consider how the plague of hail (and the final plague, death of the firstborn) differed from all the rest; Egypt was warned of God and provided with a way of escape. Point 2: Another division now existed between pharaoh's servants that feared the word of the Lord and those that didn't (Ex. 9:20). Those that feared had to take action; if they stayed as they were, they would receive the coming judgement. God's judgement included thunder, HAIL, LIGHTNING, and BLOOD, what a combination! Point 3: Once again, the Lord's people were spared from this most severe judgement (Ex. 9:26). Pharaoh, also desiring to be spared, sent for Moses and said, "I have sinned this time" (Ex. 9:27). He knew that God could withhold the judgement if he sincerely repented (Ex. 9:28). Warn the class against incomplete and insincere repentance. Point 4: Moses testified to pharaoh, "The earth is the Lord's" (Ex. 9:29). However, when danger is passed in Ex. 9:34, Pharaoh "sinned yet more and hardened his heart." Perhaps this is a good point at which to give a warning against stubborness. Notes: Older classes might like to research the plague of hail in Revelation 8:7; 11:19; 16:21.
